A waitlist that fills cancellations for you
When a lesson is cancelled, Passdesk offers it to up to three matching learners on the waitlist by push, text and email at once, and the first to tap "claim" gets the slot.
What's included
- Students opt in to a waitlist for any time window
- Cancel a lesson and Passdesk offers it to up to three matching learners
- First to tap "claim" gets the slot; everyone else sees "already taken"
- Audit log shows every offer sent + claimed (for any disputes)
- Offers go out by push, text and email together, so nobody needs an app
- Texts are included on every plan, up to a monthly fair-use limit
How the Passdesk waitlist fills a cancellation
- 1
Student joins the waitlist
A learner picks the day or time window they want and joins the waitlist. They can allow push notifications for the quickest offers.
- 2
A slot opens
When you cancel a lesson (or it cancels itself, e.g. weather), Passdesk picks up to three matching learners on the waitlist and sends each an offer by push, text and email.
- 3
First-come-first-served claim
Whoever taps "claim" first gets the slot. The booking moves to them and their package balance updates.
FAQ
Do students need to download an app?
No. The offer arrives as a notification, a text and an email at the same time, each with a one-tap claim.
What about students without push?
They still get the text and the email, which go out alongside the push. Texts are included on every plan up to a monthly fair-use limit, at no extra charge.
Can multiple students claim the same slot?
No. Only the first claim counts. Anyone who taps after that sees "already taken" and stays on the list for the next opening.
